 BOEING AH-64D "Apache"
   

 

The Greek Army had tried to perchuase attack helicopters from the beginning of the 80’s. The AH-1 Air Cobra helicopter and the AH-64A Apache were some of the options. Finally 20 AH-64A+ in 1995 had arrived in Greece. Also plus 12 AH-64D Apache were ordered in 25/11/2002. As a result Greek Army is the 8th armed power witch operates the –D version. The multi-mission AH-64D Apache Longbow is the next-generation version of original AH-64A Apache. With its fire-control radar, the aircraft is known as the AH-64D Apache Longbow. Without the radar, the combat-proven aircraft is called the AH-64D Apache.

 SIKORSKY S-70B-6 "Aegean Hawk"
 

 

The Sea Hawk is a naval version of the famous Black Hawk helicopter. Hellenic Navy has total 11 Sea Hawks. In Greece they are know as Aegean Hawks instead of Sea because of the Aegean Sea. The Hellenic Nay decide to order 5 S-70B-6 Aegean Hawks in the July of 1991 for use with the 4 MEKO 200HN Frigates Idra Class. Other 3 helicopter were ordered and in the year 2000 3 more were bought with advanced electronics.

 BOEING CH-47D "Chinook"
 

 

15 CH-47D Chinookin service 2nd TEAS (Army battalion Aviation) in Megara. These helicopters entered in service in 1983. Since then they have been improved with stronger engines, avionics, etc. In 2 livreries and with panel !
